Fullscreen solid colors to precisely spot dead, stuck, bright and dark pixels.
▶ Start test · Pixels
Scan the screen for bright, dark or tinted (stuck) pixels. Use the arrow keys to switch colors. a total of 8 steps
💡 Operation tips
Click the right half of the screen to move to the next view; when the current project’s views are done it advances to the next project, and when every project is finished it exits fullscreen automatically.
Click the left half of the screen to go back to the previous view; at the very first view it stops.
After entering fullscreen, the top label and bottom buttons auto-hide after 3 seconds so you can view the screen unobstructed.
Hover in the bottom-centre of the screen for 1 second to bring the label and buttons back; move away and they hide again after 1 second.
The breathing test ends automatically after about 10 seconds.

Solid-color testing & dead pixels
The solid-color test is the most basic and important screen check. By showing fullscreen frames of black, white, red, green, blue and other single colors one by one, pixel defects on the panel become easy to spot.
Kinds of dead pixels:
Bright dot: a pixel that stays lit on black — a white or colored dot, usually from a stuck transistor.
Dark dot: a pixel that never lights on white or solid colors — a black dot, from a fully failed transistor.
Tinted dot: a pixel showing a wrong color on certain backgrounds — usually one or two of the red/green/blue sub-pixels failing.
Tips for accurate testing:
Test in a dim room so ambient light doesn’t interfere.
Raise the brightness to the max so dark dots are easier to see.
Spend at least 10 seconds per color and scan every region carefully.
Use the native resolution for the most accurate result.
Brightness probe: the full-white solid doubles as a quick brightness and dimming-behavior check on big screens.
FAQ
What are bright, dark and tinted pixels?
Bright dot: a pixel that stays lit on black — usually a stuck transistor. Dark dot: a pixel that never lights — usually a failed transistor. Tinted dot: a pixel showing a wrong color on a given background — one or two sub-pixels failing.
What should I watch while testing?
Test in a dim room to avoid ambient light. Raise the brightness to make dark dots easier to see. Spend at least 10 seconds per color and scan every region of the screen. Use the native resolution for the most accurate result.
How many dead pixels are normal?
Under ISO 13406-2, most makers treat up to 3 as within tolerance, but some premium brands (Dell UltraSharp, EIZO) guarantee zero bright dots. If you find faults, contact support within the return window.
Can a bright dot be fixed?
Occasionally a bright dot can be coaxed free by gently pressing with a damp cloth, at your own risk. Most cannot be fixed at home — arrange a replacement within the return window.
