About this test
This test measures the shortest interval between any two presses and estimates the report rate from it: an 8 ms minimum ≈ 125 Hz, 2 ms ≈ 500 Hz, 1 ms ≈ 1000 Hz. The result line updates live with "Min interval X ms · est. report rate Y Hz".
How it works: readings come from high-resolution browser event timestamps, so they cover the whole input path — keyboard, operating system and browser rendering. That makes them a real-world reference rather than a USB hardware measurement.
How to test: pick two comfortable keys (J and K work well) and alternate them as fast as you can for 5-10 seconds. The tester keeps the minimum interval seen. Run a few rounds and trust the stable value.

What latency is normal?
Browser readings of 10-30 ms are normal system latency. An esports board with a high polling rate may dip under 10 ms. If you consistently see more than 50 ms, check for wireless interference, USB power saving and background load.
Does this measure the real polling rate?
No. The browser has no access to USB polling data — it can only estimate from event intervals (for example, a 1 ms minimum interval ≈ 1000 Hz). Treat the Hz figure as a reference, not a hardware measurement.
What does a 1000 Hz polling rate mean?
The keyboard sends 1,000 reports per second — roughly 1 ms of theoretical latency. It reduces input lag and sharpens game feel, though for office typing the difference is barely noticeable.
